What is Twitter?
Twitter is a social networking tool that allows users to exchange quick, frequent answers to one simple question: "What are you doing?" Watch this video to learn more about it.
Why is NCME using Twitter?
NCME is using Twitter to give you up-to-the-minute news about what we are doing, grant deadlines, meeting times and other resources we provide or have found.
How do I follow the MEDIAENGAGE Twitter?
You can easily follow the MEDIAENGAGE Twitter feed by viewing it on the NCME Home page or following the MEDIAENGAGE Twitter through your own Twitter account. Start by going to the Twitter log-in page and creating your own free personal account (follow the on-screen directions). Once set-up, search MEDIAENGAGE under "Find People" and click the "Follow" button. That's all there is to it.
RSS and Mobile Phone: You can also set up an RSS feed from your Twitter account as well as set up your mobile phone text messaging to recieve Twitter messages. On-screen directions are available once you've logged into your Twitter account.
What happened to the NCME Twitter feed, I don't see it on the NCME Home page?
The Twitter feed displays on the NCME home page relies on Twitter's server. Sometimes the Twitter external feeds get overwhelmed with traffic and crash. During these times, the feed will not be able to be read from the NCME Home page. Often you will still be able to read it through your Twitter account or your other messaging devices. In any case, be patient, the delays usually don't last long. Check back in a couple hours and things should be up again.
Help! I just can't figure it out!
